Thoughts and prayers with family during this time and the difficult days ahead as we announce the loss of Alexander Dennis 25 yrs old , one of our students, with great grief. When the vehicle accident happened, Alex had just finished his junior year on campus and was on his way home to Massachusetts for the summer. Alex majored in visual and performing arts with a focus on cinema while attending the College of Arts and Sciences. As a student in the College of Arts and Sciences, Alex was a visual and performing arts major with a special interest in film.
A loss like this seems unfathomable during a time of year when we are constantly involved in celebrating our students’ successes. The loss of Alex will be felt around campus, especially by those who knew and loved him. Our community can reach out to our Jesuit colleagues and staff members from Campus Ministry and the Counseling Center. For employees, the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) may also be a helpful resource at this time. President Mark R. Nemec PhD
My heart goes out to the family. I can’t imagine the grief and pain. May God be with them, and give them the strength to navigate and endure the coming day
