Rockfish Virginia~, Myson Sylvestre, 18, of Arrington, was one of four people who were found dead in the Rockfish River after a car was discovered there in December, according to police on Wednesday. According to a statement from Superintendent of Amherst County Public Schools William Wells, Sylvestre was a student at Amherst County High School in the 12th grade.
The statement added, “We are all inconsolable over Myson’s passing, but we are relieved that we can now bring closure to his family, friends, and our school community.” A 12-year-old youngster is still being sought after by divers in connection with the incident.
The car was discovered in the Rockfish River on December 27 in Schuyler, close to the intersection of Bridgeport Lane and Johnson Hollow. According to police, a 1997 Toyota 4Runner’s driver apparently tried to cross the Rockfish River at a low river crossing on Bridgeport Lane, but the SUV was carried downstream by the strong water. The crossing is situated on private land. Police are still trying to figure out when the car washed into the river.
Pharoah Shabazz, 30, of Arrington, was found dead inside the car by authorities; Christopher Doss, 17, and Jasiah Davis, 11, of Arrington, were found dead on the riverside. Doss attended Amherst County High School in the eleventh grade, while Davis attended Amherst Middle School in the sixth. According to authorities, Shabazz was the third passenger’s legal guardian, while the fourth passenger was a buddy.

The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau reported that the remains of the Vista Del Lago High School student were found on Thursday in a field near Moreno Valley, north of Alessandro Boulevard and west of Nason Street.
The coroner will determine the time, reason, and manner of his death. According to Sgt. Wenndy Brito-Gonzalez, there is no indication of foul play, and no suspects were sought in the case. Jordan vanished on May 15 while wearing a pair of light grey sweatpants, a blue/black sweatshirt, and an Adidas rucksack. A message to the youngster was put on fliers and searches were conducted.
