Dawn Davis Education and Career
She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from Southern Connecticut State University, and then went on to get a sixth year degree from the Graduate Institute. She was a member of the Milford Public Schools faculty and held the position of Biology Teacher at Joseph A. Foran High School while she was employed there. Dawn’s professional life was marked by her persistent work ethic, as seen by the number of nights and weekends she devoted to revising papers or developing new content.
She did everything she could and had very high standards for her pupils. Many students, in appreciation for everything she had taught them, wrote her letters of gratitude at a later date. Dawn cultivated some truly remarkable and profound connections with each of her numerous acquaintances. She enjoyed going out shopping, to concerts, to the beach, shooting pictures, watching movies, or catching up with friends over a delicious meal.
Dawn made it a point to give her children remarkable opportunities throughout their lives. Being present for her children and providing emotional and financial support was the single most important thing in the world to her. In addition to this, Dawn was the quintessential example of a soccer mom. Dawn would go to any length to encourage Erin in her pursuit of her passion for soccer, regardless of the distance involved. There are too many states, tournaments, and soccer teams to list, but for those who are involved in the soccer scene, Dawn was an incredible staple.
