David Rambo Obituary, Death – David Turton Rambo, 30, of Cordele, Ga went home to be with our Lord and Savior Tuesday, April 12, 2022. Born in Cordele, he was the son of Raymond Miller Rambo, Jr and Risa Turton Rambo of Cordele. David attended Southwest Georgia Technical College in Americus and earned his Electrical Lineworker Apprentice Certificate thru their training program.
He worked for the past 7 years in Texas and California in the power industry, working his way up thru the journeyman certifications. He loved restoring power to those affected by storms and spent many months on emergency call in the Northeast & the Gulf Coast.
He spent 10 months in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria in 2017 restoring power to the people there and loved telling stories of how he hung from a helicopter taking power lines across the mountains there. He loved the relationships he built with those he worked with and helped during disasters.
David was an adventurer at heart and loved everything about the outdoors. He loved hunting and fishing with his brothers, cousins, and friends. He could also often be found on the water, the ski slopes, and even in the skies. He had recently earned his pilot’s certificate. He was quick to befriend those he crossed paths with, and the families and kids in the RV parks where he stayed were drawn to him and his fun personality. Above all, David loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
David is survived by his parents; his brothers Miller (Cassandra) Rambo of Washington, GA and Benjamin Rambo (Becca) of Perry; their daughter, David’s niece, Charlotte Rambo; and many cousins.
Arrangements are incomplete at this time and a funeral service will be announced shortly as soon as those plans are complete.
