Who was David Mooring?
David Mooring was born and raised in Kinston, North Carolina. He graduated from South Lenoir High School. After high school, David went on to NC State where he studied Agricultural Education & Engineering. He worked as an Agricultural Educator at Wayne Preparatory Academy. David was also a retired educator at Lenoir County Public Schools.
David only wants things to be better. His work with young people, his help with the history of his area, his respect for God and his country, and his love for people will make him important for many years to come. He loved teaching and would stop at any chance to tell the class about the history of something we were working on or was nearby. David showed how farming was important in every part of his life and how he could teach others about it.
He worked hard to get the word out about Kinston and the historic parts of the city. During short breaks at work, late nights volunteering at the barbecue festival, cleaning up the neighbourhood after a big storm, or dragging a pig cooker back to his house after a fundraising event, he taught me a lot about life and gave me good advice. David talks about how important strong faith is and how following Christ is the best way to live.
David Mooring obituary and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by the family.
