The cause of death listed by the medical examiner as “many gunshot wounds” for Darrell James Mattson, 73, Denise Lillian Mattson, 68, and Kirk Patrick Mattson, 47, was “multiple gunshot wounds.” The three have all made their homes in Fish Lake Township.
According to the Chisago County Sheriff’s Office, the body of a person of interest in connection with the shootings was discovered at a different site. According to the authorities, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office will identify the deceased person and examine the circumstances surrounding their passing. Denise was survived by her mother Florence Robinson; her siblings Fred Koslowski, Eric (Maggie) Koslowski, Dominic (Cindy) Koslowski, Lea (Terry) Dehn, and George (Angela) Koslowski.
