How did Darrell Childers die?
Reports say that Darrell Childers, a man with a strong will and a quick mind, was shot six times by his best friends, Cori Dunn (Gann) and Stephen “Steve” Dunn. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Childers family says that Cori and Stephen have not been arrested, put in jail, or even put on hold.
According to the family, Rookies’ death was not an act of self-defence by Steve and Cori Dunn, despite what the Sheriff’s Department may report. It was, in fact, a murder. Steve, who is a former convict, has a history of explosive and violent outbursts, which he chooses to engage in as a means of controlling and intimidating others.
He is a control freak who uses his psychotic rage to instil fear and bully those around him, particularly women. Cori, for her part, is deeply manipulated by him, largely due to the fear she feels towards what Steve might do to her or their children if she does not comply with his every demand. A GoFundMe page has been established by Sarah Scott of Cleburne, Texas. According to Sarah, the money raised through this effort will go to the family to help with the funeral expenses. The page “funeral donations for Darrell Childers” has raised $1,230 USD of the $5,000 goal.
