Damian Devonta Felton Sr. Cause Of Death, Obituary Not Yet Available– Over the weekend, a Georgia man was shot to death after being freed on bond in a murder investigation.
According to stamfordadvocate.com, Damian Devonta Felton Sr., 27, of Macon, was released from the Bibb County Jail at 8:40 p.m. Friday on a $75,000 bond, according to officials. He was shot and died outside his residence approximately a half-mile south of the Mercer University campus on Saturday morning.
Felton was charged with malice murder in the killing of Amond Norwood, 26, whose body was discovered under a mattress by a guy walking near an illegal dump in May 2021. Since their arrests a year ago this week, Felton’s two co-defendants in Norwood’s death have been in prison.
Felton’s death was not immediately evident, and it was unclear whether or not investigators had found a suspect. The incident, the county’s 22nd this year, is still being investigated.
