Curtis Kellums Cause Of Death, Obituary Not Yet available – According to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, the search for a missing Hamilton man has come to a tragic end. Curtis Kellums, 54, was discovered dead in a pond on West Elkton Road near Beissinger Road on Sunday, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office.
According to fox19.com, Kellums was last seen on the west side of Hamilton, near Cleveland Avenue, on April 2nd, missing than a month ago. Kellums’ family enlisted the help of Texas EquuSearch to not only find him but also to track down the vehicle he was last seen driving: a 2012 Ford Escape.
Using sonar, a Texas EquuSearch volunteer discovered what seemed to be an SUV in the pond, according to the sheriff’s office. Following the sonar discovery, Ohio Task Force 1 and the Butler County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team responded to the pond on West Elkton Road, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to the sheriff’s office, underwater drones and divers discovered the truck with Kellums inside. The Hamilton Police Department said no foul play is suspected while the investigation is ongoing.
