Cru Lounge DC Shooting – There was reportedly a shooting in the Northeast, during which one man was killed and three other persons were injured late on Saturday night. The Metropolitan Police Department (also known as the MPD) was dispatched to the location, and their investigation is still ongoing. The incident took place at around 11:54 p.m., according to the D.C. Police Department, in a nightclub located in the 1300 block of H Street, NE.
According to the Metropolitan Police Department, four people, three males and one woman, were sent to neighboring hospitals. It was determined that one of the men had passed away at the hospital, and the other three patients were treated for injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening. According to the police, they are searching for a black male who is roughly 5 feet 7 inches tall and is wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. The suspect was last spotted traveling in the opposite direction on H Street in the Northeast.

A shooting that occurred on Tuesday night outside of a bowling alley and hookah lounge in Union City resulted in the death of an Uber driver. According to the Union City Police Department, officers responded to the area of Citizens Lanes (Cru-Soufside) on Goodson Connector because they believe there was a confrontation between an Uber driver and a security guard there.
The police claimed in a statement that “gunfire was exchanged between the two subjects,” which resulted in the Uber driver suffering fatal wounds and being pronounced dead at the scene of the incident. Officers detained the security man who stayed behind at the scene of the incident.
Both the victim and the suspect have not been publicly identified at this time.
