Law enforcement agencies has confirmed that the 15-year-old girl who was stabbed on a school bus this morning in Croydon has tragically passed away. The teenager identified only as a 15-year-old student of Old Palace School was pronounced dead from the injuries she sustained. London Metropolitan Police say a suspect identified only as a teenage student has been taken into custody in connection with the deadly incident. She faces charges of murder and possession of deadly weapon.
Law enforcement agencies determined that the suspect and the victim are known to each other. The girl’s identity was not immediately released by the investigators.
Croydon Stabbing Investigations – A female has been rushed to the hospital after an incident in west Croydon Wednesday morning. According to reports, Met Police are investigating a serious assault on Wellesley Road this morning. An investigator said a child was stabbed in the neck following an altercation outside the Whitgift Centre on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Following the incident, a major part of the road has been closed to traffic.
At least four ambulances, half a dozen police cars are on the scene of the incident. The serious assault happened outside the Whitgift Centre located on Wellesley Road in Croydon, London. London traffic indicators shows a major gridlock on northbound Wellesley Road from Whitgift Centre to St Mcheal’s RD.
The injured victim has been identified as a female child child under the age of 15. She has been rushed to an area hospital in a serious condition. Law enforcement agencies are now investigating the incident. At the time of this publication, no suspect has been reportedly taken into custody for the crime. This is a developing story.
