Steve Cain Death – Popular Vocalist with the Chaos Ritual Band – a groove/thrash metal band from S.W. Ohio – has passed away in an apparent murder-suicide. Steve Cain. and his wife Theresa Felton Cain, and child Ethan Cain, and Theresa Felton Cain’s father William Felton, 74, died on Monday at their home in Ohio Township near New Richmond. The parents and their children were located dead from what investigators believe is a murder-suicide shooting.
Clermont County Sheriff’s Office said one of the kids, named Ethan Cain, went to New Richmond Middle School. On Monday morning, law enforcement officers arrived at a Riebel Ridge Road residence in response to a civil service call. When they got closer, they could hear shots being fired inside the house. As the special response team from Clermont County entered the home, they discovered five people: four dead including Theresa Felton Cain’s father died, and one was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

A graduate of New Richmond High School, the sole survivor was brought to UC Medical Center, where she is currently listed in critical condition. Treon stated he was unable to comment on the manner of death, but that authorities were reaching out to the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigations for assistance with the investigation. The members of Critical Khaos claim they were watching the news when they recognized the house. They said that one of their group members had committed suicide there.

Our original announcement was about our opportunity we were given to play with Otep and September Mourning coming this May, but unfortunately, our singer is no longer with us.. he has been caught up in a murder suicide (just to be clear, he was shot and killed).. we do not wish to speculate or say anything more.. for peace of the family and the band we ask for remembrance of a good man, good soul, excellent front man and most of all our band brother.. it’s family we have lost today.. we’ll be back when we feel like it.. sorry but we’re so blown away right now..
Clermont County officials have stated that there does not appear to be any threat to the community at this time and that no outstanding suspects are being sought. The investigation is still in progress.

Steve Cain was a good man and an amazing friend. He was always so incredibly supportive of everything I’ve done in wrestling. I finally had the chance to see him perform with his band Critical Khaos for the very first time last Wednesday. It was extraordinary to see him do what he loved so very much. I just found out a few moments ago, Steve is no longer with us. I am beyond stunned. As the years pass, your friends dwindle. Steve was one of my few close friends. I’m absolutely sick inside, that I’ll never have another heart felt conversation, see another genuine smile, feel the love of this good brother. This is beyond a sad day for the Cincinnati music scene. Steve, I love you, so many who knew you loved you dearly. Thank you for being there for me when I needed a real friend.
