Courtney Brown Jr Death – 25-year-old Courtney Brown Jr, of Baton Rouge, LA has been identified as the victim who passed away following a shooting Monday morning. Brown Jr. died after he was shot multiple times in the area of the 3300 block of Gus Young Ave and North Acadian Thruway, according to Baton Rouge Police Department. The deadly incident happened at approximately 11:46 a.m. According to investigators, the young man died at the scene of the incident. No motive was immediately identified.

On Monday, May 22, at approximately noon, police were able to confirm that a gunshot took place in the 3300 block of Gus Young Avenue, which is located near North Acadian Thruway. Before shots were fired, the victim was reportedly waiting at a red light when the incident occurred, as stated by a spokeswoman for the Baton Rouge Police Department. According to the police, another vehicle drew up alongside the victim’s car and began firing into the passenger side of the vehicle. Brown was sitting at a traffic light when he was attacked and shot multiple times.
According to the spokeswoman for the BRPD, the victim passed away at the location where they were shot. At this point, neither the motivation nor the suspect is known. The shooting is only one of several shootings that have occurred over the past few days and are currently being investigated. The father of the victim Courtney Brown Sr. wrote;

It’s no certain way to deal with the death of your child I’m still trying to cope with losing my Nephew Travis who lives on through Sage. I lost my dad at 18 now I lose my son.
