Jeff Carson, a country music chart-topper from the 1990s, died of a heart attack in a Franklin, Tennessee hospital. Before joining the police force, Jeff Carson had songs including “Not On Your Love” and “The Car.” Carson was born Jeffery Lee Herndon in 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, according to Jeremy Westby of 2911 Media in a news release.

According to economictimes.indiatimes.com, Carson started a band in Rogers, Arkansas, before moving to Branson, Missouri, to become a police officer. He filmed tapes for Tracy Lawrence, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, and many other seasoned country stars after arriving in Nashville.
