Connor Butt Death – Connor Butt has passed away suddenly. He was confirmed dead on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. He died leaving the hearts of many scarred after learning of his sudden death. He will always be missed by all those who knew him during the course of his life. Connor had a great sense of humor, a passion for hockey, fast vehicles, music, accordion playing, and a genuine concern for people. It was difficult not to appreciate and adore him for his courage and drive.
Connor’s grin and positive demeanor were contagious. Despite his personal struggles, he always brought up people around him. Every time he came into the locker room, he was full of vitality and a ray of sunshine for our squad. He had a fantastic personality. The Newfoundland Growlers were lucky to have him on their roster. Prior to his death, 14-year-old Connor Butt waged a valiant struggle with a Wilm’s Tumor for more than two years, always with a grin on his face. Connor was an important component of his school, sports teams, buddy groups, hobbies, and everyone who knew him.

The Newfoundland Growlers are heartbroken to learn of the death of one of our most ardent fans, Connor Butt. The Newfoundland Growlers are an ECHL-affiliated professional minor league ice hockey club based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The squad debuted in the 2018-19 ECHL season and plays at Mary Brown’s Centre. They play in the Eastern Conference’s North Division and are associated with the National Hockey League’s Toronto Maple Leafs and the American Hockey League’s Toronto Marlies.

A few visits to the Ronald McDonald House Charities Newfoundland and Labrador in between, but they were always enjoyable. A chance to catch up and forget about everything going on during treatments.
