Columbus State Shooting – In a shooting Monday at Columbus State Community College, one person was critically injured. Around 6:07 p.m., according to Columbus police, they responded to a call for assistance in the 200 block of Clevland Avenue. A patient was transported by emergency personnel to Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The incident seems to have taken place close to Mitchell Hall’s parking lot.
At this moment, there is no precise description of the suspect. Additional units have been requested at the crime scene, where an investigation is still ongoing. The K9 team is searching the area for a potential suspect who abandoned his blue hoodie and ran away wearing a black t-shirt. Shell casings and a blue hooded sweatshirt were found in a neighboring parking lot, and police units on the site can confirm that someone was shot there.
