Green Pastures Christian Ministries, Inc., under the direction of Dr. Gunby, was successful in obtaining a grant from the United States Department of living and Urban Development in the amount of over $7 million dollars for capital renovations. This grant will allow the organization to finish developing Green Pastures Commons, a senior community that would provide upscale living for 74 individuals.

In 2007, Pastor Gunby graduated with a Doctor of Theology degree from the North Carolina College of Theology. In May 2008, he also got an Honorary Doctorate degree from Beulah Heights University. “The Plumbline,” “Through Shadows of Death,” and “Courageous Women – Chosen to Lead” are the titles of the three books that Pastor Gunby has written and had published. She was a well-known speaker not only in the United States but also internationally.
In addition, Pastor Gunby contributed to the book “Failure the Womb of Success.” Gunby was a member of the Board of Trustees of Beulah Heights University, the South DeKalb Church Coalition, Teen Challenge of Georgia, the Fellowship of Metropolitan Atlanta Churches, and a variety of other organizations and committees in the local community.
