Cole Kilty Death – A United States Air Force Cadet passed away earlier this week in Park County, Colorado. The victim has been named Cadet 1st Class Cole Kilty. According to reports, Cadet Kilty died in an off-base incident on Monday, March 6th, 2023. He was 22 years old at the time of his passing. The Academy says they were notified of Kilty’s death late Monday evening by the Park County Coroner.
“Today, we mourn the loss of a cherished member of our cadet wing,” said Lt. Gen. Richard M. Clark, United States Air Force Academy Superintendent Tuesday. “Cole was known for being a friend to others, for his jokes, and his unique ability to find humour in any situation – from everyday life to a tough training event. I extend my condolences to his family, his squadron, and his friends.”
Who was Cole Kilty?
Kilty was a member of the Cadet Class of 2023 and he was originally from Elk Grove Village, which is located in Illinois. Kilty was planning on joining the United States Air Force as a second lieutenant and starting his undergraduate pilot training this year. But, his plans were abruptly changed. Cole was well-liked by humorous peers for his friendliness, for the jokes he told, and for his remarkable capacity to find humour in any circumstance, be it the routine activities of daily life or a challenging competition.
Kilty was pursuing a degree in leadership in addition to his emphasis in behavioural sciences. An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of a service member is being carried out by personnel from the Air Force Office of Special Investigations and the Park County Coroner’s Office, in accordance with the normal operating procedure.
Cole Kilty’s obituary and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by the family.
