Cleethorpes Stabbing Investigations – Law enforcement agencies in Cleethorpes, North East Lincolnshire are investigating a stabbing report outside a pub Friday night. According to authorities, the stabbing of a man who was afterward sent to the hospital has shaken the community of Cleethorpes. On Friday night, police were summoned to Grant Street to investigate complaints of a fight outside the Swashbuckle pub. Two of the four guys arrested on suspicion of attempted murder were among those who located the victim, who had suffered severe stab wounds.
The incident was reported at approximately 7:30. As police blocked off Grant Street, paramedics rushed the victim to the hospital. Detectives were seen going door to door today while police remained at the location. It appeared that riot shields had been placed down on the ground inside the perimeter. A male, 18, has been detained on suspicion of attempted murder, possession of a bladed instrument, and use of threatening behavior, according to a statement released by police today. A male, age 21, was taken into custody on multiple charges, including attempted murder, affray, and assault on an emergency personnel member.
Two further arrests were made by the police. A guy, age 28, was detained on suspicion of wounding with intent, and a man, age 34, was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of class A drugs. The investigation’s leading detective inspector, Simon Archer, made the following statement.
“The events of yesterday evening are understandably going to cause concern amongst residents. There will continue to be a high policing presence in the area over the coming days as we work to understand what has happened. “I would encourage anyone with information, or anyone with concerns, to please come and speak to us. I’d like to thank members of the public who have so far assisted us with lines of inquiry.
