Accident: A man from Great Bend was killed in a car accident in Stafford County – Due to slippery road conditions, a guy from Great Bend died in an automobile accident in Stafford County early Thursday morning. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), a 19-year-old lady was driving northbound on US Highway 281 in a 2014 GMC Sierra.
According to ksn.com, Claudio Sanchez-Molina, 52, of Great Bend, was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado southbound on US Highway 281 at the time. A 25-year-old male passenger and a 41-year-old male passenger accompanied him.
The woman lost control of her GMC Sierra on an icy bridge approximately three miles north of St. John around 7:25 a.m. She took a left turn and collided with a Chevrolet Silverado. On the west side of the roadway, both cars collided into the cement guardrail. On U.S. Highway 281, facing southbound, the girl’s car came to a halt.
