Christopher Parsons Death – Christopher Parsons has passed away unexpectedly. The St Paul MN Firefighter was pronounced dead on Thursday, June 15, 2023. He died leaving a tremendous impact on several Minnesota firefighters. He will not be forgotten soon for his massive contributions to the Minnesota Fire department and he will be remembered for serving not just his family, but also his community with excellence.
St. Cloud Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 464 shared a post, paying tribute to Christopher Parsons: “Our hearts go out to the family of Captain Christopher Parsons and our brothers and sisters at Saint Paul Firefighters IAFF Local 21. Chris was a selfless leader; he served as a Captain with St. Paul Fire, Principal Officer of IAFF Local 21, and President of the MPFF where his leadership and passion for firefighting led to life saving changes within the fire service. He will be missed! Rest in peace Brother.”
Christopher Parsons was a resident of Minneapolis, Minnesota where he lived until his time of death. It is impossible to quantify his influence on firemen in Minnesota, both Union and non-Union firefighters alike. He was successful in gaining friends on all sides of the political aisle in the state Capitol, which contributed to the improvement of our overall benefits and working conditions.

This young man, many of you knew him from Northeast Mpls, even though he graduated from Columbia Heights he also attended Mpls South High. He was part of the St Paul Fire Department and was also running for City Council in Minneapolis, a kind and gentle man, my brothers and friends called him Gentle Ben (inside joke), I always called him Friend. Prayers go out to Christopher Parsons family.
