Christensen Fire – On Saturday, July 9, 2022, Cosumnes Fire Unit responded to a large grass fire involving vehicles and structures near the 14100 block of Christensen Rd in Galt. The Cosumnes Fire Dept. shared the news in a tweeter post early Saturday morning.
According to the Cosumnes Fire Dept. tweet, Galt PD shutting down New Hope Rd between Sargent Ave and Christensen Rd. “Cosumnes Fire units are at the scene of a large grass fire involving vehicles and structures in Galt. Roads are closed at New Hope, Christensen, and Sargent.”
According to an update by the Cosumnes Fire Dept. on tweeter, the forward progress of the fire has been stopped at 15 acres. No reported injuries, the Cosumnes Fire Dept. tweeted.
Cosumnes Fire Dept. also stated that some outbuildings and vehicles were destroyed with damage assessment in progress. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Cosumnes Fire Dept. wrote.
