Chris Tracy Death – Chris Tracy, a resident of Guilford, Connecticut, and a Theatre Director at Theater for the New City has passed away sadly. He was announced dead on social media on Sunday, March 5th, 2023. “It is with deep regret the Directors of Training announce the passing of retired Assistant Chief Chris Tracy. Chief Tracy was a past Director of the Fairfield Fire School and a staunch supporter of the fire service. Please keep Chris and his family in your thoughts during this difficult time.” Valley Fire Chiefs Regional Training School announced on Facebook.

Who was Chris Tracy?

Chris Tracy was a resident of Guilford, Connecticut, and a native of Storrs, Connecticut, according to his social media profile. He was a brother to Bill Sullivan of Westbrook, Connecticut. Chris Tracy graduated from Penfield High School in 1977 and also studied Theatre at Pennsylvania State University. He was an Actor at ABC Television, “All My Children” from 1982 to 2009 in New York, New York, and a Fire Dispatcher at the Town of Westport Fire Department in Westport, Connecticut from 1987 to 1990.

From January 1991 to February 2017 in Fairfield, Connecticut, Chris Tracy worked as a fire dispatcher for the Norwalk Fire Department and as an assistant chief for training, safety, and deputy fire marshal at the Fairfield Fire Department. From July 2007 until February 2017, he served as the Fairfield Regional Fire School’s training director. From September 25, 2018, to December 24, 2018, he served as the Essex Steam Railway & Riverboat’s professor of Elfology. For the Class of 2018 on the Santa Special aboard the Essex Steam Railway, he served as a faculty member at the Elf Academy.

He was a former Fun Meister at Little Bar – Stratford in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, from September 28, 2018, to March 17, 2021. From September 30, 2018, until January 3, 2022, Assistant to the President of Federal & Media Relations at the Uniformed Professional Fire Fighters Association of Connecticut. He had positions as Beach Manager at Water’s Edge Resort & Spa and Producing Director at Connecticut Playwrights Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. Chris Tracy worked as a theatre director at Theater for the New City as well as a producer and host for Valley Shore Community Television Inc. His wife was Gina Russell Tracy.

Chris Tracy’s obituary and funeral arrangements will be released by the family at a later date.
