Chris Jarosz Death – Chris Jarosz, 55 years old, was a well-known restaurant owner in the area when he was killed in a crash on Highway 50 on Wednesday morning, according to the official identification released by Sacramento County. According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV traveling westbound on Highway 50 at 50th Street entered a lane that was cordoned off because an active construction zone was nearby.
“The reasons for this have yet to be determined,” the CHP said. Before coming to a stop between the first and second lanes of the highway, the sport utility vehicle collided with a trailer that had a “arrow board” mounted on its roof as well as the back of a flatbed truck. According to the CHP, the arrow board that was used to reroute traffic was illuminated at the time of the collision.
According to the CHP, Jarosz was not wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred, and he passed away at the site. No injuries were sustained by the two highway workers who were sitting in the parked flatbed truck.
