Chey Truax Death – Cheyenne Truax also known as “Cooter” was involved in a motor vehicle accident where she was severely injured. According to police reports, the crash had took place at 1:30 p.m. on U.S. 24 near Bruick Road. A truck that was pulling a trailer was traveling east on U.S. 24, when it crossed the median, collided with another semi-truck, and then ended up in a ditch.
Truax and another occupant of the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Another person is in critical condition and was transported to the hospital. Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area as much as possible because all lanes are currently shut.

According to Brianne, Chey left behind her mom and baby sister and they need help with funeral cost, travel expenses. Her mom is going to be off of work for awhile. Elliott urged loved ones to come together and help lighten the financial burden. Chey was the most loving person, giving, caring person. She loved her friends fiercely, she was a volunteer fire fighter and an employee at Smith fields foods.

Officers of the California Highway Patrol responded to an automobile accident on Highway 24 early on Saturday morning that involved a driver going the wrong way and resulted in the death of a passenger. The incident took place at approximately 2:00 a.m. According to the reports of the police, a Mercedes-Benz heading westbound on the eastbound side of Shattuck Avenue collided with a sedan that was carrying five people.
KRON4 reported that one of the female passengers in the sedan was confirmed dead at the scene, while the other four were taken to a hospital with serious injuries. According to the official report, the suspect was also sent to a hospital.
When units arrived, they spotted the driver of the Benz racing away on foot from the scene. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) immediately began searching for the motorist with the assistance of a K-9 unit. The suspect was taken into custody by the authorities. The consumption of alcohol is suspected to have played a role in the tragedy.
