Troopers with the Louisiana State Police are appealing to the general public for assistance in locating the motorist who fled the scene of a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Friday, July 28. The accident resulted in the deaths of two people. The Louisiana State Police (LSP) reports that the collision took place just before 4 a.m. on Interstate 12 in Tangipahoa Parish at Highway 4445 in Mississippi.
According to the troopers, the collision took place when Russo was driving his 2008 Ford F-250 eastbound on Interstate 12. They went on to say that the Ford crashed into the back of an unknown car for reasons that are still unknown to them, then veered off the road to the right and flipped over.
According to the troopers, the driver of the unidentified vehicle fled the site of the fatal collision. According to the officials, Garcia and Russo were both pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. They went on to say that a third passenger in the Ford had suffered moderate injuries and was sent to a hospital.
