Carrie Steeman Obituary, After a fatal accident, a mother and daughter are recalled

Carrie Steeman Death – Obituary is not available at the moment: Carrie, 50, and Jacqueline, 30, Steeman were killed in an early morning crash on County Road 34 between Leamington and Wheatley on Friday morning, according to provincial police.

Ontario Provincial Police have named Jacqueline and Carrie Steeman, a mother and daughter, as the two victims in a fatal Friday morning crash.

Both mother and daughter were members of Unifor Local 444 and worked at ElringKlinger near Leamington. According to a statement released by the union in honor of the victims, they were driving to work at the time of the accident.

An eastbound pick-up truck crossed the center line, sideswiping a utility van before colliding with a westbound automobile, according to authorities. The drivers of the pickup truck and utility van were not hurt in the accident.

This is the second time in less than a week that Essex County police have recorded multiple victims in collisions. On March 13, a vehicle exited Mersea Road 8 and crashed into a bridge embankment at County Road 37. The truck caught fire, killing all three people inside. The location of Friday’s collision was only five kilometers from the last one.

Jacob Fehr, 22, of Chatham-Kent, was charged with two charges of impaired driving causing death and driving while disqualified.
