According to his maternal uncle Sayed Mostak Ahmed, who spoke to UNB on Friday, the body of Yeasin Mohammad Khan Fahim was removed from his flat in the Downtown area of Montreal by the local police force on Wednesday. Fahim is originally from the Habiganj District of Bangladesh, but he has been residing in the city of Montreal for the last three years because he traveled there to further his education.
According to Mostak, Fahim’s mother has not spoken to her son since Sunday evening local time in Bangladesh. Mostak, who is also a special correspondent for the Daily News Mail, stated that they afterwards phoned Ariful Islam, one of Fahim’s friends in Montreal, and requested that he go to Fahim’s residence. Ariful Islam is one of the people Fahim counts among his pals in Montreal. When Ariful discovered that Fahim’s flat was locked from the inside, he immediately called the authorities, who located the corpse and transported it to a nearby medical facility. Following the autopsy, the cause of death will be established with certainty.
