Camille Hardman Death – Camille Hardman, the mother of 16-year-old Ethan Hardman who died by suicide, ha passed away. She was found dead on December 8, just six weeks after Ethan passed away. She was found at the same spot Ethan died after committing suicide at the age of 45. Ethan Hardman, a young footballer, was discovered dead in a wooded area in Lancashire on October 14, just a few months after he turned 16 years old.

Camille, Ethan’s distraught mother, called the police when her son failed to return from visiting his father at his house. Camille was admitted to a facility for mental health after her relatives expressed concerns for her safety many days following her son’s death. At a recent investigation, it was revealed that Camille had been permitted out of the house to go to the funeral for Ethan, but that she had continued to express her desire to commit suicide.
Although Camille’s partner, Richard Benson, as well as her siblings and the community mental health team, had continued to provide support for her, Camille expressed that she “no longer felt able to survive without Ethan.” At the inquest that took place today at the Preston Coroner’s Court, portions of a statement made by Richard, Camille’s partner, were read out loud.
It explained how after Ethan’s death, she had “extremely fragile” mental health. After the funeral, he tried to convince Camille to stay at his house in Leeds, but she ended up leaving his place and checking herself into a hotel for three days instead. This prompted him to call the police. Camille was a guest at the hotel when officers from the West Yorkshire Police Department paid a visit, but they could only communicate with her through the door.
If members of Camille’s family had entered the room, they claim they would have found materials that had been purchased with the intent of ending Camille’s life. Camille was reportedly visited in person for the last time on December 5 by her primary care physician, Dr. Manoon Nair.
According to the documentation in her medical file, she declared that she was “hoping to get better” and that she did not have any thoughts of ending her life. At the inquest, it was revealed that on December 8, Camille’s sister Dana called the police after realizing her sister was not at home and that she had forgotten her phone.
