Caitlin Westerfield Death – Caitlin Westerfield of San Francisco, CA, has passed away unexpectedly, she was involved in a motor vehicle accident where she sustained life threatening injuries. Sheila Healy Academy of Irish Dance confirmed the news Westerfield passing on Facebook. According to the post, “many of you knew her when she danced for Sheila Tully, and I know you are as stunned as I am. I have no other information at this time, but it will be forthcoming as it becomes available.”
They urged loved ones to please keep Caitlin and her family in your prayers. May God hold them in the palm of his hand. The results of the preliminary investigations carried out by the authorities have not been released to the public.
Caitlin worked as a software engineer on the Education Initiative’s Learning Platform Team during her time at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. She was especially interested in the application of technology to address equity gaps within the educational system and to aid decision-making about educational policy. She received her degrees in computer science and religious studies from Yale University in 2020 and graduated with those degrees. After she graduated, she moved to Portland, Maine, where she worked for the Sara Gideon for Maine Senate 2020 Campaign while she was living there.
