Caitlin Elizabeth Death – A Baton Rouge, Louisiana woman Caitlin “Lizzy” Elizabeth has been identified locally as the victim who died in the road-rage shooting on I-20 on Tuesday afternoon. According to reports, Caitlin Elizabeth was shot dead by a suspect identified as Jason Rashad Williams. Lizzy as the victim’s friends fondly called her was described as a sweet personality who always made everyone smile. “So sweet nothing but good vibes sleep pretty Caitlin Elizabeth.” According to her friends, Lizzy was the epitome of beauty with brain, she was an industrious woman who just wanted to live and create her mark.
Caitlin Elizabeth’s death is reportedly “one of many road-rage shootings around the U.S. today, sadly in some incidents, the victims passed away and the suspects involved are never found,” an onlooker said. According to Baton Rouge Police, a suspect identified as Jason Rashad Williams has been taken into custody and charged with murder in connection to the deadly shooting of the beloved woman. Law enforcement agencies were called to the scene at approximately 1:20 P.M. for a shots fired report on Interstate 20.
Preliminary investigations determined that an adult female traveling eastwards in a vehicle, was shot by an occupant of a tractor-trailer also traveling east. According to the Van Zandt County Sheriff’s Office, law enforcement agencies responded to the scene where they located the woman in a vehicle. She was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
The incident happened on the I-20 in Van Zandt County on Tuesday afternoon, September 19, 2023. Law enforcement agencies say the suspect Jason Rashad Williams is now facing several charges in connection to the shooting; murder and three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, According to Sheriff Joe Carter. “Road rage is currently suspect as the shooting motive, although investigators are still looking into the case to determine any further connection,” Carter added.
