Caden Clay Death; Student Manager For The Alabama football Team, Has Passed Away: Caden Clay, the student manager for the Alabama football team, passed away, the program said on Wednesday afternoon. Originally from the Dallas-Fort Worth region, Clay was nearing the end of his first year at Tuscaloosa. Clay was eighteen or nineteen when he was born in 2005. Alabama has not disclosed any information about his death. The Crimson Tide expressed their sympathies to Clay’s friends and family on social media.
Football student manager Caden Clay passed away, and Alabama Football expressed its sorrow via X. “We are sending our love and prayers to his family and friends.”Less over an hour north of Dallas is Prosper, where Clay attended Prosper High School. He was an Eagles varsity football player, and based on his Twitter account, Clay spent the summer of 2022 camping at SMU and TCU. Director of Recruiting Todd Bradford even gave a tour of Stillwater during a visit to Oklahoma State in March 2022.
Clay’s senior year saw Prosper go 13-2 and reach the 6A-DI state playoffs. The Michigan Wolverines’ director of recruiting, Sam Popper, expressed his sympathies to Clay’s friends, family, and the whole Alabama program shortly after the news was made public. A mere few months had passed since the two had faced off on opposite sidelines during the Rose Bowl College Football Playoff quarterfinal.
“Caden Clay, RIP. I’m thinking of all of my wonderful buddies at @AlabamaFTBL and everyone there. I will always be there for Caden’s friends and family, both now and in the future,” Popper stated through X. In the last season under the great head coach, Nick Saban, Clay had the opportunity to work for him and his coaching staff as a freshman. As Alabama recently completed spring practice in preparation for the 2024 campaign, he was expected to continue working with Kalen DeBoer.
