Buddy Teevens Death – Buddy Teevens, a 66-year-old American college football player and coach passed away on Tuesday. Following the injuries he sustained in a bicycle accident that happened in March, 2023, he was sadly pronounced dead on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. It was said that he was a disciple who possessed the highest leadership qualities, including courage, discipline, hard work, persistence, vision, and compassion. The family members and friends together with the entire Dartmouth College mourn his death.
What happened to Buddy Teevens?
On March 16 2023, he was riding his bike in St. Augustine, Florida, when he was hit by a Ford F150. Truck driver Jennifer Reann Blong, age 40, resides just two miles from the Teevens’ St. Augustine residence. At the time of the accident on State Road A1A at around 8:50 p.m., an hour after nightfall, Blong was traveling north at 50 mph in a 45 mph zone which is approximately 1.5 miles from Teevens’ home in St. Augustine. As a direct consequence of the accident, Teevens sustained injuries to his spinal cord and ultimately lost his right leg.
The injuries he sustained in the accident ultimately proved to be fatal, and on September 19, 2023, he passed away as a result of those injuries. Eugene Francis “Buddy” Teevens III was a collegiate football player and coach in the United States of America. The first of October 1956 marked his birth, and he was pronounced dead on September 19th, 2023.
Beginning his collegiate career as a quarterback for the Big Green at Dartmouth College, where he later serve as head coach from 1987 to 1991 and again from 2005 until his death, he played quarterback for the Big Green. Teevens was also the head football coach at the University of Maine (1985–1986), Tulane University (1992–1996), and Stanford University (2002–2004).
All of these positions were held between the years 1985 and 1986. He served in each of these capacities, in succession, between the years 1985 and 1986, 1992 and 1996, and 2002 and 2004, respectively. Teevens and his wife, Kirsten, have been blessed with two children: Lindsay, who graduated with a degree from the University of Florida in 2008, and Eugene IV, who attended Coastal Carolina University. Both of their children have gone on to pursue further education. Condolences are been sent to his family members and friends after his death.
