Attempts to revive Suter were unsuccessful, and it was concluded that he died of a gunshot wound.
A homicide inquiry was launched once detectives were dispatched. Suter was allegedly shot by Harley Gill of Wellsville, Ohio, according to various eyewitnesses.
Before investigators arrived to investigate, Gill had departed the site.
Witness statements were taken, and a search warrant was requested and obtained in Columbiana County, Ohio.
Harley Gill, the suspect, was apprehended without incident a few hours later. Gill was taken to the Columbiana County Jail, where he will be held until he is extradited to West Virginia for first-degree murder.
