Bronson Shields Death – An 8-year-old boy who tragically passed away following a house fire incident near Athens has been identified as Bronson Shields. The fire incident happened on Sunday.
According to report, Bronson’s mother broke two of her ribs while trying to save the life of her son.
On Tuesday, the Leeds County branch of the Ontario Provincial Police reported the discovery of one corpse after a fire damaged the home on Upper Oak Leaf Road.
According to authorities, the house was entirely consumed when firemen and local OPP arrived at the scene shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.

The families pets also died, including 3 dogs and 2 cats. April fell onto railings while trying to save Bronson and broke 2 ribs.
It is said there is nothing more painful than loosing a child, but imagine trying to also navigate this pain of her son’s death, no place to live, no clothes, broken ribs and plan and pay for a funeral. Saturday February 26, is Bronson’s 9th birthday, let’s all celebrate Bronson and help his family to grieve, heal and rebuild, by easing some financial strain.
