Tinley Park False Shooting Investigations – Officers with the Tinley Park Police Department and EMS are responding to the location of the Armed Forces Weekend termed carnival in Tinley Park, Illinois Saturday night. According to reports, law enforcement agencies were called to the Windy City Amusements located in the area of 179th St. & 80th Ave in Tinley Park following reports of multiple disturbance in the area. According to sources, the Windy City Amusements is currently being evacuated as officers work to de-escalate the situation.
Authorities were called to the scene after a big fight broke out between undisclosed number of individuals. Following the physical altercation/fights, a weapon was allegedly brandished prompting an active shooter claim at the location. Fairgoers who were at the scene fled for their lives. A large number of officers arrived at the location for investigations.
According to information’s on the Village of Tinley Park Public Safety, the claims of shooting at the location have been confirmed false. “The police are at the armed forces carnival at the 80th Ave train station! There has Not been a shooting as rumors are spreading! The police are trying to maintain order and evacuate everyone safely.” Multiple fair goers were seen running out of the location after a person alerted that they might be weapons. No injuries has been confirmed at this time.
