Bobby Dick Career
From his early days of playing high school dances and singing in the subways of Brooklyn to his current role as leader of Bobby Dick & The Sundowners, Bobby’s rock roots grant him an honorary rock ‘n’ roll music PhD. From those early days, he sang in the subways of Brooklyn. Along the way, Bobby’s band opened for the Rolling Stones, The Who, Tina Turner, the Monkees, the Righteous Bros, the Dave Clark Five and yes, even Jimi Hendrix… playing places like the Copa Cabana, the Café Wha, the Palace Theater, the RPI Fieldhouse, Las Vegas, Forest Hills Stadium, the Hollywood Bowl to today, where he can be found doing concerts, clubs, conventions, ski lodges and parties throughout the United States.
By the year 2011, he had quit scheduling events for the Sundowners and had begun his own act, which was dubbed “Rock ‘n’ Roll 101.” Bobby gets to do what he enjoys doing the most, which is singing, while his wife Susan, well known as DJ Susie Q, spins the background music and does some occasional harmonies.
