Bisley Ranges Fire – According to reports, a wildfire breaks out on army land at Bisley Ranges in Surrey on Monday night, July 4, 2022. According to Surrey Fire and Rescue Service on tweeter, they have managed to contain the fire with vehicles around the perimeter to protect homes and the roads.

According to an update by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service in a post on their Facebook page, they confirmed that the incident is located in Bisley Ranges on MOD land and there are no road closures in place at this time. They also added that crews are still in attendance with four fire engines and additional specialist vehicles including UniMogs and water carriers. The fire is contained, with vehicles around the perimeter to protect homes and the roads. They added.

“There will still be a large amount of smoke, so it is very important that residents continue to keep doors and windows shut and avoid the area. At this time the cause of the fire remains unknown. Please continue to follow our accounts for further updates.” Surrey Fire and Rescue Service stated.

Further update by Surrey Fire and Rescue Service on their Facebook page on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, stated that “Firefighters are currently dealing with a large wildfire at Bisley Ranges. Six fire engines are at the incident and are expected to be there throughout the night.” Surrey Fire & Rescue Service also advises nearby residents to keep windows and doors.
