Billy Mayer Death – University of Wisconsin La Crosse Wrestling star Billy Mayer of North Font Du Lac has sadly passed away. He died on Saturday 15th April 2023 leaving everyone that knew him heartbroken. UW-La Crosse Wrestling announced him dead in a post that says “UW La Crosse Wrestling lost a great man last night. 3x HWT All American Billy Mayer passed away. We love you Billy Mayer and we will miss you”. No cause of death has been revealed but was speculated that he died in a Motorcycle Accident.
Billy Mayer Education
At Campbellsport High School, he competed in wrestling, football, and baseball, and earned a total of seven varsity letters throughout his high school career. During his sophomore, junior, and senior years, he won the Conference championship. He finished his junior year with a record of 34-5 overall and was named to the all-State team both as a junior and as a senior. He won the state championship as a senior and finished his senior year with a record of 38-1.
Between 2009 and 2010, he has a record of 13-5 at 285 pounds, with one victory coming via fall… Finished in second place in the Dan Gable Open with a record of 2-1. Finished in second place at the Matman Invite with a record of 3-1. He finished in fifth place at the Pointer Open with a record of 4-2. He finished the season with a record of 22-10 in the 285-pound weight class between the years of 2010 and 201, with six of his victories coming via fall.
Billy Mayer Career
As a result of his sixth-place finish in the NCAA Division III Championship, he was awarded All-American honors. Additionally, he won the WIAC title in the 285-pound weight class at the WIAC Championship. Both at the Pete Wilson Wheaton Invitational and the Auggie Open, he finished in second place and also in third place, respectively. In the 285-pound weight class, he finished the season with a record of 18-11, with three of his victories coming by fall.
During his time wrestling for the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, he was a talented athlete who never failed to compete to the best of his abilities. Love, life, laughter, and kindness were all present wherever he went. He brought all of these things with him wherever he went. Everyone who interacted with him came away with the impression that they had known him for a very long time. He was like a very bright light that was shining down on everyone who had the good fortune to come into contact with him.
