Billy served as a former Assistant Coach Maryland Basketball team. He was also a basketball manager about 30 years ago. Many also knew him to be a motivational speaker. He retired West Virginia University. Billy was born and raised in Mishawaka, Indiana but later moved to Morgantown, West Virginia where he resided until the time of his tragic death. “He is the definition of what a coach is supposed to be. My friend Billy Hahn passed away Friday after a massive heart attack. Billy helped Gary Williams build Maryland from the ashes as Gary’s No. 1 assistant. He and Kathi fought thru her cancer battles together. Very sad day.
