Bill began working at WLWT 25 years ago as a producer, and most recently he was in charge of WLWT station’s daily news gathering. He was a great political thinker and writer who served as a mentor to both new and seasoned journalists. Bill Hager graduated from Ohio University, Scripps School of Journalism. He was an Executive Producer at WOWK in Huntington, West Virginia between June 1995 to December 1997. He oversaw the daily operations and management of a workforce of about 50 people when he was there. He was in charge of the presentation and the news information.

Bill Hager was a News Producer at WLWT in Cincinnati for 2 years and 2 months from December 1997 to January 20002. Between January 2000 to January 2004, he was appointed as the Senior Producer at WLWT for a period of 4 years and 1 month. His main duties included producing the 6:00 p.m. newscast and mentoring other producers to raise the caliber of our newscasts’ production and content.
He was later appointed as the Executive Producer in Cincinnati for a period of ten years from January 2004 to October 2010. He was in charge of the creation, appearance, and content of the noon, 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00 p.m. newscasts. He works with producers to help them choose better stories and present their ideas. On October 2010 WLWT appointed him as their Managing Editor, a position he held for 11 years 10 months. He was in charge of WLWT in Cincinnati’s daily news operation while putting in a lot of effort and dedication.
