Death: Woman Killed In Tangipahoa Car Accident – On Friday morning, the Louisiana State Police (LSP) are investigating a car accident that killed a young woman from St. Helena Parish.
According to brproud.com, On Friday at about 11:30 a.m., state police responded to a two-vehicle car crash on LA Highway 1045 in Tangipahoa Parish, according to state police. Ayanna Rogers, 26, was traveling south on the highway when a 2006 Nissan Titan turned directly into the path of her 2014 Ford Focus from the northbound lane, according to an inquiry.
The Ford Focus collided with the Nissan’s front passenger side. Rodgers was not wearing her seatbelt and died as a result of her injuries, according to LSP. She was declared dead on the spot. The Nissan Titan’s driver was also not wearing his seatbelt.
With minor injuries, he was transferred to the hospital. Although impairment is not considered to have had a role in the crash, the incident is still being investigated. Rodgers was born in Greensburg, Louisiana.
