Marisela Botello Valadez, 23, died on March 1, and on Thursday, a 49-year-old man was arrested in Florida in connection with her death. Visiting from Seattle in October 2020, Botello was last seen in Deep Ellum. The police are still on the lookout for Botello’s last known female companion and another female suspect seen with him earlier that night.
Nina Marano, 49, was arrested on Thursday in Miami, Florida, while the rest of Botello’s body was found on Wednesday in a forested area of Wilmer, Texas. Experts found Botello’s blood at a suspect’s apartment, and a phone analysis indicated that all three suspects were with her the night she vanished, as stated in the capture warrant oath. Botello was last seen in Deep Ellum on October 5th. She flew from Seattle to Dallas to see her ex, and then she decided to go out on the town by herself, according to the cops. She was seen in a parking lot with one of the suspects, identified as Charles Beltran, on an observation video.
On Wednesday, deputies from the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office were called to the area of E Belt Line Road and Post Oak Road in Wilmer, Texas, after receiving a report of human remains having been discovered there. The identification of Botello’s remains was confirmed on Thursday.
With the help of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Nina Marano was apprehended in Miami, Florida, on suspicion of murder in the killing of Botello. Charles Beltran, 31, and Lisa Dykes, 57 (also known as Lisa Beltran) are wanted in connection with Botello’s death, according to the authorities. Both suspects are now at large. A call to the authorities from anyone who knows the whereabouts of these individuals is strongly encouraged.
Law enforcement officials reported in December that Charles Beltran was a “need to find” suspect. Forensic detectives have also recovered a videotape from the night of Botello’s disappearance in which she is seen with Charles. However, whatever occurred to Botello after the video was recorded, authorities claimed she didn’t appear to be in any danger or fear in it. According to testimony in a capture warrant, Botello’s ex told authorities that he last saw him and his ex-girlfriend got into a Lyft at around midnight on October 5.
It was sworn under oath that a review of call logs revealed that the suspects met up at Dykes and Beltran’s Mesquite residence. According to the testimony, Dykes and Matano traveled to a heavily forested location south of Dallas near Hutchins, located close to several streams and a sizable facility.
In the wake of making a journey to Hutchins, the two Dykes and Marano went back to Dykes’ home. A later scan of their residence showed that the floor covering had been cleaned, although dashes of brown and red tone were under the rug, the sworn declaration added. Things confiscated were submitted for legal sciences examination and affirmed human blood.
Blood recovered on the floor covering in what was recognized to be Beltran’s room was matched to Botello. On Dec. 31, 2020, a dark 2014 Audi that was recently enlisted to Dykes and Beltran and known to have been driven by Beltran was checked by New York State Police after the vehicle was brought to New York. Big material was discovered in the vehicle’s spare tire well, and it appeared to match a similar kind/shade of the cement used at the substantial facility where suspects Dykes and Marano traveled that evening.
Testimony indicated that on October 5, Botello was present at the suspect’s residence along with Marano, Beltran, and Dykes. Blood evidence at the residence led police to conclude that Botello had been hurt there. All of the suspects reportedly quit their jobs and left their residences in Texas and Pennsylvania after Botello disappeared.
