The beloved Business Major student was announced dead a few days after suffering from a massive cardiac arrest. Ashleigh suffered a major cardiac arrest and was rushed to the hospital. She sadly passed away, a family member wrote. She was surrounded by her family and friends at the time of her passing.

According to reports, Ashleigh VanHorn passed away after suffering from cardiac arrest – an event that occurs when the heart suddenly and unexpectedly stops pumping-. She was admitted to the ICU where she spent days. Ashleigh VanHorn was a talented sportswoman and a skillful Midfielder. She graduated from Hempfield Area High School in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Ashleigh participated in over 50 matches with the Pitt-Greensburg Women’s Soccer. She was Majoring in Business at University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown Jeannette, Pennsylvania.
Her death came as a huge to the Pitts sports community and her family and friends at large. Ashleigh VanHorn has been described as a talented, focused female who was also a hard worker, a fast learner, and a very sociable individual who loved and associated with everyone. Ashleigh VanHorn treated everyone with equal respect and loved her family.
