Death: Man dies after firearms passed around the car; Teen charged with homicide – After a fatal gunshot in a parked automobile in the Nashville area, a 19-year-old man teen was charged with criminal murder early Thursday morning.
According to wkrn.com, Metro police, 20-year-old Arondai Thompson arrived at TriStar Skyline Medical Center at 6:30 p.m. with a single gunshot wound to his upper right thigh. Two witnesses told investigators that the shooting took place in a car on Robinwood Drive.
Witnesses informed detectives that firearms were being handed around inside the vehicle, according to Metro police. Jamandas Mayberry and Thompson were then left in the back seat as the witnesses proceeded to play basketball. Witnesses then heard a single gunshot from the vehicle and ran back to it, according to officials.
According to Metro police, witnesses saw Mayberry shaking Thompson before fleeing the scene in his personal vehicle. Thompson was subsequently rushed to the hospital by witnesses, where he died of his injuries, according to authorities.
