Ariel Griffin Death – Law enforcement agencies say 31-year-old Jonathan Jerome Segar who was wanted in a deadly shooting in Williston, Florida has been contained. Jon Sager passed away after he was shot by officers while fleeing a murder scene. Sager shot and killed his ex-girlfriend and mother of his child early Monday at Monterey boat. According to Williston, Florida Police Department, the incident happened at Monterey Bots located at 636 North Main St., Williston.
Officers were called to the scene following a report of shots fired in a possible domestic disturbance. “Upon arrival, officers discovered that one person has been fairly shot. As Jonathan Jerome Segar (W/M, DOB 06/10/92). Segar I am the victim have a prior domestic relationship. The suspect was like driving a Chevrolet truck with blue and yellow graphics “DGD” Discount Garage Doors. We have probable cause for premeditated murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.”
“Suspect fled the scene before law enforcement arrival. It is believed that the suspect is no longer in the area of Levy County. Detectives are following up on all leads to determine the exact location of the suspect. The Williston, Florida Police Department, Levy County Sheriff’s Office, and the 8th Judicial State Attorney’s Office are working jointly in this investigation to swiftly locate and detain the suspect. The suspect is to be considered armed and dangerous.”
A nationwide BOLO Alert was sent out for the murder suspect who police’s recent update confirms has been put down. At approximately 7:21 P.M., the suspect was located in Georgia. According to contact Williston Police Chief, “With the dedicated support of other law enforcement agencies, the suspect has been located and is no longer a threat to the public and the victim’s family. My heart is heavy this morning. I lost a friend Ariel to a tragic fatal shooting this morning at a Monterey boat in Williston Florida.
Ariel was shot down on her job by her ex-boyfriend Jon Sager. I’m asking that if you see this post to please share so this monster is found and brought to justice for Ariel and her two beautiful kids.
