Anteasa Collins Death – The Oakland Police Department reported that a double homicide occurred on Sunday, resulting in the deaths of two individuals after they were shot. One of the victims has been identified as Anteasa Collins. According to reports, Anteasa Collins, a native of Pittsburg, California passed away from injuries sustained following the shooting that happened near Coliseum.
How did the shooting happen?
At approximately 5:30 a.m., the OPD received a distressing call regarding a shooting incident in the 800 block of 66th Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered a victim who had sustained a gunshot injury. Despite the efforts of the Oakland Fire Department, the victim was pronounced dead.
As the investigation continued, authorities became aware that another individual with gunshot wounds had been transported to a nearby hospital but subsequently pronounced dead of their injuries. Initially uncertain if the two incidents were related, the OPD now considers it to be a double homicide.

According to authorities, a shooting occurred at an East Oakland gas station on Sunday morning, resulting in the deaths of a man and a woman. The woman was identified as a 25-year-old resident of Stockton and the man as a 23-year-old resident of Newark. The identities of the victims have not been released, pending notification of their next of kin and the confirmation of their identities.
Homicide investigators are trying to establish whether the two were acquainted, as well as what they were doing in Oakland and why they were shot. As of now, no arrests have been made. The shooting took place at around 5:30 am on Sunday at a gas station situated at 66th Avenue and San Leandro Street, close to the Coliseum.
The man was discovered outside the rear of the station with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, while the woman was transported to a hospital by another person and passed away before 10 a.m. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported, but some automobiles and at least one structure were struck by gunfire.
This is the 44th and 45th homicide case being investigated by Oakland police this year. The police, along with Crime Stoppers of Oakland, are offering a reward of up to $20,000 for any information that leads to the apprehension of the shooter or shooters.
