Annie Lanning Cause Of Death, Obituary Not Yet Available – According to an email from the school, a teacher at Lincoln High School died on Thursday. Annie Lanning had died, according to an email from principal Laura Raeder sent out Friday morning, and the news had been communicated with students at the start of first period. The reason of death was not specified in the correspondence.
As reported by eu.argusleader.com, “She was one person I would run into and rush straight into her arms for a hug,” Olson said. “She was a constant comfort to so many. I still can’t believe our Annie is gone. She touched so many lives.”
“We suggest you listen to your student if they need to talk, and answer their questions simply and honestly,” the email said. “… Allow your student to mourn and grieve by crying. Although the work of grief varies in length, if increased anxiety, behavior challenges, or sleep disturbances continue for more than a few weeks, it may be time to seek help.”
The Crisis Response Team is at Lincoln, according to Raeder, to provide counseling to students and staff.
