A fourth guy has been detained by detectives in connection with the murder of a 20-year-old who was stabbed to death in south London. The 22-year-old was detained on suspicion of murder on Wednesday, 26 August 2020, and is still being held, according to the police. Salem Koudou, 20, was the victim of a stabbing that occurred in Brixton after a car had wrecked, and he passed away from his injuries four days before turning 21. On August 20, at 5:55 p.m., allegations of a fight on the Brixton Angell Town estate prompted a call to the police.
After being found with stab wounds and transferred to the hospital, Salem passed away at 8:53 p.m. On August 22, a post-mortem examination was conducted at Greenwich Mortuary, and several stab wounds were determined to be the cause of death. A 26-year-old male was reportedly found nearby with stab wounds and was later detained on suspicion of planning a murder. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, but he has since been released and is still being treated at the hospital.
After being detained on suspicion of murder and serious bodily harm, a 19-year-old male was granted bail and told to report to a police station in south London in September. A second male, 18, who was detained on suspicion of murder on August 24 in Harlow, Essex, has not been identified. The murder investigation’s chief detective, Detective Chief Inspector Richard Vandenbergh, previously stated: “Today [24 August] should have been Salem’s birthday, but instead of celebrating, his family is going through the pain and anguish of his loss.”
