Wednesday, police said that a husband and wife from a St. Louis suburb had been shot to death, and that the son of one of the victims had been taken into custody in connection with the killing. Hazelwood police According to Captain Tim Burger, who spoke to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the victims were a man named James Moore, who was 63 years old, and his wife, Norma Moore, who was 70 years old.
They were discovered inside their home on Tuesday night, already dead. Burger stated that the suspect is the son of one of the victims, and it is possible that the suspect is the stepson of the other victim. In addition, the suspect was a resident of the house.
After responding to a disturbance complaint, Hazelwood police say the man started firing at them. The guy shot himself after one officer returned fire. Officers were unharmed. Police found the victims inside the house. He was hospitalized. Early Wednesday afternoon saw no charges. Police have given no motive.
